Farmers Grain Express, Inc. (FGX), a dry bulk carrier, was established in 1990 by Jay Eliason who owned grain silos in Des Moines, IA. Mr. Eliason partnered with Robert Collins, who retained extensive knowledge of bulk transportation brokerage, to manage and grow the business. It was not long before FGX recognized the increasing need in liquid and dry bulk logistics. They consequently phased out the assets to focus on nationwide transportation solutions for their expanding list of clientele. What began as an asset based carrier to service the grain industry, quickly grew to accommodate other supplier’s transport and logistics needs. Since 1990, FGX has maintained an impeccable reputation with carriers and clients alike of being trustworthy, knowledgeable and customer centric in its transport management operation.
